The MTM Kawasaki, a Carbonin partnered team, did it again! After the race in Portimao, they won the second consecutive championship in SSP300 class. This time around it was Adrián Huertas (Spain) who won the WorldSSP300 class on a Carbonin-equipped Kawasaki Ninja 400.

The only rider that could mathematically beat Huertas was his teammate and 2020 champion Jeffrey Buis. But on the second race day on Sunday, 3rd of October, Buis crashed and lost his chances for winning the championship. This is how an 18 years old rider Adrián Huertas won his first championship, while Buis had to take third after another crash in race two.

Adrián Huertas: “I am happy to win the World Championship. I moved to the MTM Kawasaki team thanks to my manager. They are a winning team and they put their confidence in me. I saw what I can do this year and I am so grateful for MTM because they gave me this opportunity. Thanks to them because without their help it would not have been possible. I am really happy because I had some hard years recently, but I came to this team this year and became the world champion. I feel sorry for Jeffrey because he touched me and crashed in race one. We have worked for a long time with a group of people for this result! It was also great to end the season with such a strong win. For the future, I want to keep working in this way and keep dreaming.”

MTM Kawasaki also won its second Team’s Championship title, which makes us at Carbonin even more proud partner of this fantastic team. Congratulations!
